Christopher Gladwell is a leading senior yoga teacher trainer from the UK. He has been actively studying yoga in its various forms of physical practice (asana), bodywork, breathwork and pranayama, meditation and mindfulness,  mantra, devotion and bhakti for over 35 years. He is the author of many books, including "Engaged Yoga" and runs a busy studio in Bristol, in between running workshops and Teacher Trainings in the UK & Europe. Christopher’s teaching raises big questions about choices and habits in practice and in daily life. Because he also has a sound background and profound understanding of psychology, anatomy and bodywork he is able to bring deep and clear understanding to the students who practice with him. 

 

Friday Evening

Satsang
Join us as we explore and inquire into the nature of reality. Expect a discussion around the nature of reality in the context of yogic and Tantric philosophy. 

 

Saturday
10:00 - 13:30

Morning
We will start the day with Kriyas. These are ancient techniques using breathing, movement often alongside mantra and visualistion to bring about transformation and spiritual development. This lays the foundation for our asana practice focusing on deep listening, core power and opening the heart. 

14:30 - 18:00
Afternoon
The workshop continues after lunch with an exploration of powerful pranayama (breathing) techniques. We will continue our heart opening work from the morning with devotional mantra to bring us home to the heart, followed by deep nourishing relaxation in yoga nidra. 

 

Sunday
10:00 - 13:30

Morning 
We will revise the Kriyas from Saturday morning, with the opportunity to finese and adapt your technique. We will continue developing the techniques introduced on Saturday and Sunday morning with an asana practice focusing on inversions, core power and opening the crown chakra. 

14:30 - 17:30
Afternoon
On Sunday afternoon we tie together all the ground we have covered by relating it to yoga psychology and how through the union of breath, mind and life energy we can set alignment principles for life. How the powerful practice of a truely holistic and authentic yoga practice, can empower and equip you in creating a life you want and deserve. The final practice will be a deep yoga nidra practice in which you will be setting intentions and goals for the future months.
