Workshop Content
The 5 elements of Chinese Traditional Medicine are each associated with a season, body organs, emotions, colours and certain foods.  Join us over 5 Saturdays throughout the year to learn how food, gentle stretches and pressure points can keep you physically, emotionally and mentally fit throughout the changing seasons of the year.

The morning will start with an introduction to oriental medicine and how to eat in the different seasons so as to achieve holistic wellbeing. We will prepare some lunch in tune with the season and it’s element.

After food we will work through gentle stretches for self-healing and vitality, learn where the elements reside in the body and practice pressure points to bring us into balance.

Macrobiotics & Shiatsu
Macrobiotics
uses the 5 elements as it’s basis and teaches us what and how to eat throughout the year, so as to remain in harmony with our environment and achieve physical, emotional and mental wellbeing. Shiatsu is a physical therapy that uses gentle stretches, movements and pressure points to treat pain and discomfort in the body and mind. They are both based on the natural laws of life and change common to Traditional Chinese Medicine,
